Difficulty settings

I dont understand the difficulty settings. Neither newbie nor amateur cant hit a double to start their points on 301. But then you put it in master and its triple everything with almost every shot. So basically, without some middle ground. The games either to easy or to hard. Would be nice if you looked into that.
